The Gold Writing Group is a collaboration between Swimming with Elephants Publications and Strangeflock Gallery centered on creative collaborations between writing and artwork.

Each month, Strangeflock Gallery features a different artist or art collection. On the last Sunday of each month, before the show comes down, writers are invited into the gallery to find ekphrastic inspiration from the artwork displayed.

Writers of all genres are encouraged to be inspired by the monthly artwork in the gallery or partake in a more constructed workshop hosted by local and national guest writers.

About the Webpage

This page is to showcase the written work created during the Gold Writing Group sessions.

The Gold Writing Group meets the last Sunday every month at Strangeflock Gallery in downtown Albuquerque, NM.

The Gallery will be open from 12pm – 4pm with a guided writing workshop taking place between the hours of 1pm – 3pm.

You do not have to participate in the workshop to attend the gallery, view the art, or do self directed ekphrastic writing.

Suggestion donation for the workshop is 5$, and all proceeds will go to the guest workshop host as payment for their time. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
